Fan of The Month - February 2024

JESS

1.  When did you first become a fan of Dashboard Confessional?
Became a fan of Dashboard in 2001 when The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most was released. I was in 9th grade, the music just spoke to my soul and I was instantly hooked.

2.  How has Dashboard Confessional affected your life?
Dashboard has affected me by being a constant through every season of my life. My adolescence and my adulthood. Through love, loss, defeat and triumph, I have depended on Dashboard's music in life's beauty as well as its ugliness. Remember to Breathe is my personal mantra through all measure of anxiety. Most notably now, I'm passing my love of Dashboard to my children. Particularly my 3 year old who sings the lyrics and listens to two Dashboard songs on his sleepy playlist every night since he was born.

3.  If you have attended a Dashboard Confessional concert - what was it like for you?
I've attended several Dashboard concerts. All have been amazing, but my favorite was this last summer at Jones Beach when I got to meet Chris with my husband. I saw him come into the crowd to say hi to some family and as he was going backstage I was able to stop him to tell him how instrumental his music has been to me. He touched my arm to thank me for my words and I nearly passed out.

4.  Any suggestions for what we can do/set up for Saints & Sailors Fan Club?
Opportunity for special members only meet and greet would be amazing, or some kind of special access during tours. I'd give an arm and leg for that.

5.  If you could give Dashboard Confessional a message - what would it be?
My message to Dashboard would be thank you for the gift of your talent. Your music has helped me through many a dark time and lifted me higher in my happiest moments. I will continue to be a fan through my whole life. My other message is that Jack (my son) says hi :)
